My fur babies love it! I cleaned it good when we opened it to get chemical stuff from the manufacturing off of it and I am going to do a deep clean of the stainless steel water fountain every 2 weeks unless it says otherwise. I suggest you read the directions & see what it calls for. I did not however it was all self-explanatory when putting it together. 1 review said you had to unplug and take it to the sink to fill. lol they obviously didn’t use their brain because I use a 40oz yeti of large cup from movie theater the kids tend to bring home and fill it right where it is plugged in. Pour water slowly on the top and it drains into where it filters in bowl. Durable, functional and the dog uses my human big water dispenser w/the big 50 gallon jugs. He is a staffy he presses the button for cold water and drinks his spring water. The little Jug dog is terrified of running water since bath time is hell for her. lol
My cats love it. It has greatly increased the amount of water they drink compared to still water in a bowl. It’s very quiet and doesn’t spill at all. The size is perfect for two cats, and I don’t have to refill it often. The filter is effective, I can see that it actually filters out dirt, so I’ve been replacing it regularly.
I switched to this model to avoid using plastic products, having previously used a plastic water fountain, and so far, I’m pleased with it. It works well, my "fur babies" love it, and the build quality seems very solid. Although I’ve only been using it for five days, I hope it proves durable! We usually add ice cubes since our pets prefer cold water; we tend not to fill it to the brim right away—while we *could* fill it before putting the lid on, we’re used to assembling the unit first and then adding water (our previous fountain had the pump at the bottom), so we’re still adjusting to this new routine. I’m not yet sure if cleaning it will be easier than the previous model, as the pump and its housing are still made entirely of plastic. Overall, however, considering the price, it looks like a great choice.
Best cat water fountain I’ve ever had! It stays clean and is completely silent. My cat loves it!
I've of my kittens love this. The other prefers still water. For one cat, I have to change the water and clean it out once a week.
