Is it a little silly looking? Yes. Am I VERY well-protected from the sun and cool as a cucumber? ALSO YES. Worth it! Very, very wide brim keeps your face, neck, shoulders, etc nice and shady and the three speed, adjustable angle fans make sure your nice and cool while wearing. Comes with a USB cord to charge them at home but they also can be powered via the solar cells on top!
Oh my do we love this fan hat! It's a great fit, very comfortable and so far working great! The little fans provide a lovely cooling effect to the face, making those hot days of yard work a breeze (pun intended) It's pretty lightweight and the hat feels durable. I'd love to see this offered in a lighter color to reflect heat, the black color is nice but we all know black attracts heat quickly. Overall a great value for the price! Makes it more comfortable being outdoors. Might wear it on a hike, too!
This hat has proven extremely useful during this hot season; I have worn it almost daily while doing yard work. In addition to providing shade, it also generates a breeze to cool my face and neck, and best of all, it features two built-in fans, making it quite practical. The hat's fabric and structure are sturdy and of good quality; it adjusts easily to the contours of the head thanks to an adjustable fastener at the back. It also features a chin strap underneath, allowing you to secure it firmly to prevent it from falling off, while the hat's structure effectively supports the weight of the fans. The package contents include two fans, with their respective solar panels already mounted on the hat, and two USB-A to USB-C cables for charging the fans. The fans are not too noisy at low speed, however at high speed I find them a bit noisy but good fan output. Regarding the fan's functionality, it offers three speed settings that are easily adjusted by simply pressing a button on the side. The solar panel is located entirely on the top of the hat and is attached to the fan, which sits on a swivel mount; this allows you to rotate the fan to direct the airflow specifically toward your face or neck. I find this feature particularly impressive, as it allows me to easily adjust the airflow while wearing the hat. Best of all, during the day, the fans are powered directly by the solar panels; at night, they run on the internal batteries, which can be recharged either via solar power or using a power adapter. A LED indicator lights up to signal when the solar panel is actively charging. The fan unit also features a selector switch, the purpose of which I have been unable to determine, as no user manual was included in the package, nor could I find any information about it online. Regardless of the position of the switch the fan works flawless. I am very pleased with both the quality and functionality of this hat; it is an incredibly useful accessory for spending time outdoors during the summer months.
