I have a 3 month old GSD puppy and she loves this thing. I put in kibble, treats, and peanut butter and then freeze it all in a thin layer of water for a few hours. It keeps her occupied and happy for about 30 minutes, depending on how much I add to it! It's a great source of mental stimulation for her. I just wish they made a bigger version for when she is full grown!
I wasn’t sure how my dogs would take to these but happy to say they loved eating their meal. They were confused at first and I had to showtime how to turn them. After a few minutes they were using their paws to turn the trays! Once all the food was gone they spent the next 15 minutes going from tray to tray sniffing and turning looking for more food. Definitely would recommend these for dogs who eat fast! My Zoiee (pink collar) is always done first and this time it wasn’t different but she was much slower. All in all it went from typical 2 minutes eating to over 30 minutes. Love,love, love these!!
My pup enjoys this thing, I’m thinking of putting her food in it as a slow feeder haha. It glides smoothly when she’s using it so the mobility is great, the plastic is hard and it’s well Constructed. It’s a little noisy when she’s playing with it.
Really helps our guy slow down or better, work a bit for his food :) In the pictures one can see how determined he is. The one piece of kibble gave him a hard time - it stuck to the bottom with peanut butter ;) but, of course, he succeeded.
If there is one thing Fluffer Nutter Von Floof really needs to work on, it’s how fast he eats. My little furry friend has a bad habit of inhaling his meals like a vacuum cleaner, but this puzzle slow-feeder bowl has been a huge help in getting him to slow down and actually savor his food. It’s very easy for dogs to figure out: the top section features two rotating layers that, when turned, reveal the food in the tray below. Each layer is sturdy and durable, spinning smoothly and silently so there’s no noise to startle the dog while playing. The design incorporates small openings that require the dog to put in a little effort to get the food out; I especially love the fully detachable design, which makes both filling and cleaning a breeze. It’s wonderful to see Fluffer Nutter’s mealtime stretch from 30 seconds to about five minutes—he’ll repeatedly spin the layers and check every corner of the bowl to ensure he gets every last morsel. While the puzzle didn't stump him completely, it definitely forced him to slow down, and the process of sniffing and spinning the trays makes mealtime much more engaging. The only minor downside is that the central locking pin can be a bit tricky to grip, making it somewhat of a struggle to detach the top two trays—though I didn't find it too difficult to manage myself. Overall, it’s a fantastic puzzle toy for puppies or small dogs that effectively prevents them from gobbling up their food too quickly.
